Requirements
- iOS 26 or later
- AI minutes generation and meeting chat require Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later, with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings)
- Recording, live transcription and the meeting library work on any supported iPhone
Troubleshooting
Minutes generation or meeting chat is unavailable?
- Both use Apple Intelligence, which needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later. Open Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and confirm it is turned on
- If Apple Intelligence is still downloading, wait for it to finish and try again
- Recording, live transcription and the library work on every supported iPhone regardless
Nothing is being transcribed while recording?
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and make sure MeetingInsights is enabled
- Also check Settings > Privacy & Security > Speech Recognition
- Check that no other app is currently using the microphone
FAQ
Why can't I generate minutes on my device?
Minutes generation uses Apple Intelligence, which requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri. Transcription and recording work on all supported devices.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Everything works offline. Nothing is ever sent to a server.
Where is my data stored?
Everything is stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting a meeting permanently deletes its transcript, minutes and audio; deleting the app deletes all data.
Is the app free?
Yes, completely free. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads.
Is there a desktop version?
Yes. MeetingInsights for Linux is open source and installs with apt. See the Linux version on the home page.
